I’ve finally achieved one of the goals I’ve been working on since the middle of last year. Granted it’s not one that I had to do much to achieve other than hang-out at my favorite local, independent coffee shop in Indianapolis.
This little nirvana of coffee where everyone knows your name is called Cheers The Bean Cup. Sadly, although the business does bear my name, I have no ownership in the entity.
I’d like to thank all the little people (which wouldn’t include people like myself or Douglas Karr) that made this possible. My kids and wife for letting me scoot out of the house during the day to head there to work since I can’t focus without distractions like Rockband, Guitar Hero, TV, U-verse, laundry or my bed.
I’m hoping some interesting developments will occur with me in 2009 and some of those desires may include the involvement of the Jason & Chris the great folks at The Bean Cup.
If you’re looking for a great place to come and meet some people, have a brief meeting or just stop camping and extend the conversation after your favorite meal at a local Indianapolis restaurant, make The Bean Cup that 3rd, 4th or 5th place you spend so much time at instead of home or work.

I saw the pic on the Bean Cup site and I got the impression they surprised you with the award while you were on the throne. Is that like your version of Norm's stool on Cheers?!
