Webmail clients are a popular tool on the web so I thought it would be appropriate to highlight some recent updates I noticed to the Gmail interface. They’ve expanded the functionality of their labels to allow you easier removal of labels within the same screen view instead of selecting from a drop-down.
As you can see from the image above, all you need to do to remove a label from a message is click the “x”. You used to have to go to a drop-down menu and then scroll all the way to the bottom to remove labels.
Also new is the ability to assign a color combination to labels so they stick out a little bit more visually in your Inbox.
Very nice! I like those additions. Now I just wish they’d let me nest labels as sub-sets of other labels.
