Growing up, I will completely admit that I have been a Sony fan-boy. I loved the look and functionality of pretty much every device they've developed from a consumer electronics stand-point. The one exception would be the PlayStation, I never did like the controller and so I gravitated more to the Xbox when it was released.
From the Sony Walkman, to stereo or TV, to my Sony Clié when it was released to every digital camera I've owned and my first personal video camera. It's the video camera that they've seemed to be missing from a little bit. GoPro gets all the cool points lately, but Sony may be pushing into the realm again with the new Sony Action Cam they've released.
Here are the quick specs:
- 4K quality at 100mbps
- image stabilization with steady shot
- 170° ultra-wide angle lens
- great audio you'd expect from Sony
- wrist remote for full control of the camera
- GPS data embedded for route and speed meta data
- splash proof
Of course the specs are cool, but take a look at what you can create with the camera. Check-out the still images below and then watch the video at the end of the post.
The way these videos are put together along with the editing that's available within the software as well, you can really produce some things that could be categorized as #NeverBeforeSeen from #SONY before!
