For me, Hickory Farms is almost synonymous with the holidays as many other holiday treats like candy canes, wassail, sugar plums, fruit cake and other great holiday foods. I can remember back as a child going to the Greenwood Mall in Bowling Green, Kentucky around the holidays. This was back before I started to avoid it at all costs and do 95% of all my shopping online. In the center of the mall aisle, usually right across from the Kay Bee Toys store, there was the Hickory Farms kiosk area with coolers full of various cheeses and summer sausages.
There was usually always at least one pack purchased for our family or we would receive one as a gift for the holidays. I remember climbing up into my dad’s lap and watching something on TV while slicing through the sausage and cheese and creating little meat and cheese sandwiches on whatever crackers we had on hand.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s got fond memories of spending time with family and enjoying Hickory Farm’s products. They’ve been around for 60 years and continue to have some of the best tasting meats and cheeses. So many great memories and fun times spent together as a family; sitting around the table and chatting, watching football games with the boys or playing Rook with some many close friends around the winter holidays.
If you avoid the malls like I do, don’t fret, you can still fill-up on your childhood memories and order your gift box or basket online and have it delivered to your door within 3 days for only $3. For purchases over $35, you get FREE shipping. If you purchase their Party Planner Gift Box, Hickory Farms will contribute $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign.
