Today I’m attending Blog Indiana 2011 and things are going great so far. This is the 4th year and they continue to improve the event each year.
I’ve seen one of the best uses of QR codes today. On each table they’ve placed a single 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper with the speaker’s name and a QR code to immediately provide feedback after the session.
So, when the session is over, just pull out your phone and scan the code. You’re immediately taken to a Formstack survey form with a simple 5 questions and a comments box if you’d like to share anything else. It literally provides feedback in seconds instead of taking weeks. From the sounds of things, the response has been great. Noah, says his Inbox is already filling up with feedback from attendees.
Most sessions or events like this would provide a paper handout, hoping people actually fill it out and then that they even turn it in somewhere. And if all of that happens successfully, then you have to manually read through all of the responses and write them down to collect the data.
With this method, all of the responses are collected, organized and reported on without hardly any human interaction once the surveys are submitted.
GENIUS!
Kudos to BlogIndiana 2011, Noah, Shawn and Formstack for putting this all together so cleanly.
