Here's a quick post that will hopefully serve as a resource to someone looking for the steps to delete their Facebook page real quick. Perhaps you've got a page that's gotten a little stale and for whatever reason it's just serving as roadside debris on the information superhighway, or you're starting a new page and need to get some old things cleaned up and consolidated. Either way, here's a quick screen shot and 3-step process for deleting that page you no longer need.
All you need to do is go to the Page Admin section for the page you'd like to delete and then:
- Look for the "Settings" tab
- Click on the "General" section
- Scroll to the bottom and look for the "Remove Page" option to delete your Facebook page
Other general tips you should be aware of is to let your page fans know what's happening with the page before you delete it. If there's a website you'd like them to visit, or Twitter account or perhaps a new Facebook page, let them know before you delete the page so they'll be informed. Also give them time to see and respond to your update before you delete the page.
