If you've followed my blog for long or me on social media then you'll know that I've always loved the idea of coworking environments. My first exposure to the idea was through Indy Hall out of Philadelphia. Since I'd heard about it, I'd always wanted to create my own coworking space and provide a place for individuals to come and work outside of their home and office, but something more than just a coffee shop or cafe.
I just came across Spark Labs and it looks pretty cool, although perhaps a little too polished for my own preference. However, if you're in the tech industry and working on your own little start-up effort, Spark Labs appears to offer many more services for you than just a co-working opportunity.
- Space: Get the opportunity to create or expand your tech startup out of our NYC lab
- Mentors: Our mentors are made up of top Tech entrepreneurs from around the world
- Community: Companies get connected to our network of investors, mentors & partners
- Education: We provide the hands-on training you need to help boost your business
- Events: From netowrking to workshops, we make sure you are attending the best events
- Funding: We connect you to top investors who can help grow your company
As you can see, some of those are what you'd get in your normal coworking space, but the specifically targeted mentors and funding would be a huge asset to someone that's really pursuing starting the next new thing.
If you're in the New York City area and you fit the target demographic, I'd really be interested in getting your feedback if you've given them a try or heard about their offerings. If you're not in the NYC area and would still like to participate, then you should probably checkout the Spark Labs network as well.
