I’ve been digging into some more Excel VB development of late and have been getting into more discussions related to Excel for obvious reasons.
My boss was discussing today that one item he wishes existed in Excel now was to be able to set default precision settings for the entire sheet. His argument was that as a CPA, if he’s working on a worksheet loaded with accounting information, it would be really helpful to specify two decimal precision for all numbers on the sheet by default. The caveat would be that it could be changed or overridden in specific cells as needed, but unless changed, it would default to the sheet setting.
What do you think about this request? Is it valid?
What features do you think should be available in Excel that’s currently not available to you as user.
