A doctor in New Hampshire, Dr. Terry Bennett has been reprimanded by the New Hampshire state attorney general because he told a patient she was fat.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Considering the fact that the population in every state in the US is getting fatter, except Oregon, we should probably have more doctors telling us we’re fat don’t you think?
On a somewhat related note, if you’re like me, and think Dr. Bennett was right to be blunt with his patient, then you’ll love the series House, on Fox. Oooh, and when I was going to grab the link for the show, I just saw that you can purchase Season 1 on DVD on August 30th. Feel free to add that to my wishlist for anyone who’s in the generous mood!

The thing is, he didn't just tell her she's fat. He told her that she's fat and would have trouble finding a man to date should her husband die. There's a lot more to the story than what you've written.

Thank you for your input MM. The news article I read about the event, didn't say anything about the things you mentioned. Guess that points us to another problem, newspeople reporting news, not producing entertainment or headlines.
