We’ll stick with a little bit of a theme here now and highlight another organization and website that Tony Dungy, Coach of the Superbowl XLI Champion Indianapolis Colts, is involved with actively in the community.
The All Pro Dad website is:
All Pro Dad is a program of Family First – a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Tampa. All Pro Dad features NFL players and coaches who want to make you a better father.
The All Pro Dad website’s premier offering is a free daily e-mail service called Play of the Day. The Play of the Day provides 30,000 dads with hard-hitting information, advice and inspiration to make them better husbands and fathers. Best of all, it’s free!
I’ve been registered for their “Play of the Day” e-mails for a few years now if I remember correctly, they always seem to have good ideas to help me build my relationship with my son and daughter. Sometimes the tips aren’t exactly age specific for our current period of life, but I know even if I read them now, they’ll come back to me in the future when my son is entering in his teenage years for example.
The website also has numerous little quizzes and activities that you can take part in to improve your skills as well. In addition to all of that, they also host an All Pro Dad Day, which my son and I went to this past year at the Indianapolis Colts training complex. It was a good time, just wish more players had shown up to show their support and involvement as well.
