It’s here, that time of year that the majority of everyone seems to dread. Not sure why, I always get my tax return done pretty quickly. Good ‘ol Microsoft Money and TaxCut and it’s done in a snap. (And now back to our regularly scheduled program) Was just reading in Reader’s Digest (man this whole post is like one big commercial), and stumbled across these little end of the story taggers. One was a tax rule that states “Illegal income, such as stolen or embezzled funds, must be included in your gross income on line 21 of Form 1040, or on Schedule C-EZ if from your self-employment activity.” CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! It’s actually written down, legitimate tax law. You know what’s even more amazing! We actually paid people to come up with that rule and put it in there. Some things are just messed up!!!
Get this too, did you know there are legitimate tax deductions for illegal activities? Check these out: Hitman-bullets, mileage for driving to target; Counterfeiter-printing press, green ink, paper; Moonshiner-corn, wire coils for still; Arsonist-matches, rags; Cattle rustler-rope.
Messed up folks! Some things are just MESSED UP!
