It took me forever to accept a friend’s offer to start using Plaxo, but ever since I did I’ve been very pleased with the service they’ve provided. In fact they have done what they promote, and saved my entire address book from permanent deletion when my main computer crashed.
Now, a number of years later they’ve significantly redesigned and improved their website. The new design is much more user friendly in my opinion and the aesthetic improvements are very nice as well.
This post isn’t about their address book functionality, but a new service called Pulse. With Pulse, basically all your contacts can stay in touch with not only changes to your address book, but changes to your information in a broad range of social networking types of sites.
As you can see above, pretty much any player in the Web 2.0 social Interverse is included in their functionality. So far I’ve just hooked up some RSS feeds from a variety of my blogs. Still playing with the various controls. How about you? Have you seen Pulse?
