The Internet is capable of producing much more than just the latest video available on YouTube for your enjoyment. You can also get loads of information about the world around us. The highlight for today though may not be what you would have expected to hear about the world around us.
A report by a senate sub-committee states that man-made global warming may be a hoax.
The “U.S. Senate Report: Over 400 Prominent Scientists Disputed Man-Made Global Warming Claims in 2007″ report shares the findings by numerous scientists that believe the effect of humankind’s actions on the environment may not be causing global warming at all.
I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be concerned about how we’re taking care of our planet and that we could be much smarter in how we handle what we’ve got. I do think that many of the reports and suggestions made popular by various individuals over the past few years may be far less about science and much more about politics and getting headlines.
The little thought that always popped up in the back of my mind is that when we mention the “greenhouse” effect we’re obviously referring to a place that’s used to grow plants successfully. That being said, increasing the greenhouse effect to me would mean producing an environment that was much more conducive to even more growth of plants and environments.
