I recently saw a post on Digg.com that highlighted the amazing art of Edgar Mueller. That post had all of Edgar’s pictures from one project on their site but didn’t mention Edgar’s name or even give a link back to his own site. This man deserves some additional attention to his own site and his amazing artwork.
I contacted Edgar and asked if he’d let me spotlight one of his works here with his photos so you can see what he’s capable of doing, but then link back to his own site for all the pictures and process display.
His work is amazing in that he paints these images in a specific perspective so that if you’re at the right place your eyes and your mind are completely tricked into seeing something that’s not really there. What appears in amazingly vivid, life-like 3-D is just a regular 2-D painting.
That is a regular 2-D painting by a master of reality and perspective in his work.
Follow the jump for some of the photos from Edgar on one of his works titled "Waterfall".
The play on perspective amazes me! If you’re right at the exact point of the perspective it’s so amazingly real it’s crazy. However, if you step off to the side, although still a great work of art, the different perspective you now have viewing it throws everything else off.
Be sure and visit more of Edgar’s work on this project and many more on his site.
