I could quite easily be considered a cheapskate. One of the areas I hate spending money is cards. It doesn’t matter what kind they are as long as you’d probably find them in a Hallmark Shop.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a birthday card, get well soon, Happy Anniversary or a sorry-about-your-hangnail sympathy card. I think they’re all a bit of a waste of money. I know, I know I’m a romantic, my wife really loves my lack of interest in giving or receiving cards.
What I do like giving to people is something digital. With the Animoto website I can send a short video greeting to friends and family for free (hey! I’m still a cheapskate remember!) or I can pay for a full-length card for $3.00.
Animoto has special holiday cards available now just in time to keep from addressing all those old-school cardboard things that get left in the big blue containers that are monitored by the United States Postal Service.
Once you’ve created your Animoto card, you can share it with all your friends and family on YouTube, Twitter, the iPhone, regular old e-mail and even burn them to a DVD if you’d prefer.
Send a message, bring a smile to someone this holiday season with Animoto!
