There’s a new Google product available for users now. What I think is weird though is that this isn’t anything really new. In fact, I think they even stole the name their using from one of their immediate competitors, albeit a small one.
The new Google service is called Google buzz, and it can be found at buzz.google.com. From the general looks of things, it appears you can start sharing all the cool stuff you’ve found on the web with your other Google friends and contacts.
Yep, nothing really new here.
Oh, and that buzz term, Yahoo has been using that for awhile now to kind of do the same thing. You may have seen it, it kind of looks like this:
You share stuff you find on the web including photos, it will integrate with your Gmail Inbox, it will connect with the other popular social sites you’re already using like Twitter, Picasa, Flickr and Google Reader and everything happens in real-time.
Really it kind of also sounds like many of the features that were discussed with the release of Google Wave. My friend is already using it and now I’m waiting on approval to start using Google buzz myself.
