What is the deal with Monday Night Football on ESPN? Is it a football game or a late-night entertainment talk show?
They just got finished having Christian Slater in the booth talking about his new movie “Bobby”.
Okay, I actually like Christian Slater and have enjoyed most of his movies. But he says stuff like “the ensemble cast is a great team…..like these Seattle Seahawks.” Yeah, yeah! That’s the ticket, the Seahawks. How else can I tie this into sports and Hollywood.
How about this ESPN.
- Fire Tony Kornheiser
- Nix the celebrity interviews during the game
- Stick with sports and stuff directly related to the game

I was thinking the same thing… why is Christian Slater on MNF? I really miss Madden & Michaels & when MNF wasn't about promoting movies. I'd say to do all the of your suggestions. I'd rather watch Ellen in the booth talking about the plays.. here's an idea… Ellen and Madden!!! that would be VERY entertaining.. I'm up for that.

It's this kind of entertainment/sport approach that tanked MNF ratings when it was on ABC. A couple more years like this, and we can put the last nail in the MNF coffin.
