In my new working arrangements the statements below would qualify as an employee review. My new boss/business partner has shared more of his review on how things are going for him and mentions me.
TIME: I now have a comrad in my foxhole. Hiring an employee was a MAJOR leap for me, but Jason has turned out to be a TREMENDOUS boost to the business. Our clients love him. He has learned a TON unbelievably quickly. And he has taken on so much of the load off my shoulders. What makes him a *SUPERSTAR* as far as I?m concerned, however, is he actually tolerates my ?tendency to overdelegate and underinstruct? (per the DISC Survey). Now, I still need to do some major improvement in that area (anybody who?s ever worked for me will attest to the annoyance of being given only the most-ambiguous hints at what I?m looking for and then having me push your hands away from the keyboard/push you back from the podium/grab the wheel and go: ?NO, NO, NO. I want it like THIS!? (although as I describe it, it doesn?t sound all that bad).
Thanks Matt! Those are great words to hear from my “employer”. I’m thoroughly enjoying my new professional responsibilities and am looking forward to every day because I teach myself something new, learn something new and you stretch/push/pull me into expanding that knowledge even further.
