We recently had a visitor to our office trying to sell us office supplies and stuff. She asked us who our preferred provider was already. Was it Staples? OfficeMax, OfficeDepot?
I said OfficeMax, but then I’m fixing my coffee this morning (actually not coffee, it’s Nescafe Frothe – Mystical Hazelnut Mocha actually) and I see a large box from Staples.
Was I wrong? I don’t know, maybe we just ordered this one thing from Staples. Then I started to think, am I losing my mind/memory, or is it just a sign of non-effective advertising? To me, there’s nothing unique that stands out about any one of these brands. They all do the same thing, shouldn’t I be able to remember my “preferred” choice?
While writing this post, another thought occurred to me. I mentioned four different companies that I have personal experience with. Sure would be nice to get some advertising dollars. Especially say if I received the Nescafe Frothe for review and provided my feedback. In case you were wondering, I’m not yet impressed with my “mystical” drink yet this morning. Of course that may be since it’s already cold in my giant mug with a giant surface area for cooling.
Was It Office Max?
