I just read a post over at my friend Jeff Stanger’s blog at Carry On Citizens about a girl in North Carolina that legally changed her name to CutoutDissection.com.
I love the Internet, but I’m not giving up my name for it. I’m really not giving up my name for a movement for the company I’m interning for at the moment.
The 19-year-old’s new name is also the Web address for an anti-dissection page of the site for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, where she is interning.
"I normally do have to repeat my name several times when I am introducing myself to someone new," she told The Asheville Citizen-Times for a story last week. "Once they find out what my name is, they want to know more about what the Web site is about."
Jeff takes an interesting spin on the news and has come up with a list of other domain names she should probably try and register and forward to her new identity as well.
For anyone that agrees with Jennifer, you might enjoy this website that we covered earlier this year.
Feel free to add some more of your own to his list and let him know Uncover the Internet sent you!
