This is a test of the non-emergency blogcasting system. This is only a test. If this had been a real emergency the last place I would have been would be sitting at the keyboard at 1:56am playing around on my blog. Thank you.
Interesting Stuff - Random Thoughts and Resources I'd Like to Share
This is that category of stuff that may just not fit anywhere else. It will usually be interesting websites or other resources I may have come across. It could also be some random thoughts I have and want to "get down" on some virtual paper somewhere. Hopefully you'll find it interesting, it's definitely just a bunch of stuff!
WeWillGo.net (Hurricane Katrina Relief)
Here’s another great idea I just read about on the Church Tech Matters blog. They’ve setup this site to not only direct people to opportunities to donate money, but to also organize people to donate their time as well. Great idea!

Franklin College helps Gulf Coast students
This article on the InsideINdiana Business with Gerry Dick website mentions an interesting form of assistance for college students impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
Franklin College in Franklin, IN is offering free fall tuition to gulf coast students impacted by the hurricane. I think that not only helps in keeping them in school and on track, but if enough colleges did that it would also alleviate some of the problems and concerns with so many residents being dislocated from the area for an unknown amount of time it’s going to take to get things cleaned up.
Quote from Alan Hill, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing at Franklin College.
“Extending an invitation to the students whose college plans have been disrupted is one way that Franklin College can make a positive impact during these trying times,” said Hill. “We’re eager to help students keep their plans on track and realize their dreams for an education.”
Very creative! I like it.
