Does anyone really care that Hollywood had to delay their productions and rent a charter flight to fly their stars and production crews out of the areas impacted by Hurrican Katrina?
I mean give me a break? Is this really the news that’s worth printing at this point. Granted it was listed in the entertainment section of E! Online news, not exactly known for their focus on important causes.
I’m not surprised that studios have insurance policies to protect themselves from delays in production or unforeseen circumstances. But honestly, I don’t really care about their losses on delay in scheduling as compared with the other more important issues or stories at hand, like these:
A guard and his family is held hostage in a prison engulfed in rioting
Refugees seeking shelter in storm living in filth
Man’s wife ripped from his hands by surging water
Policeman shot in the head by looters
Give me a break Hollywood, can you give up the spotlight for one second and focus on the humanity and real world around you just a little more often?
