It was about a year ago this time that I went to Disney World for the first time with my family. My wife had been wanting us to go for awhile, but I thought the kids were a little too young at the time to really remember everything. Last year we went (the kids were 4 and 6) and had an absolutely great time. It was a Christmas gift from grandparents for the kids and we were there for a week. We’re now hooked and planning on making it a regular vacation destination.
Now, with the Disney for Families & More website, I can get even more scoop and insider information on what to do and how to save money.
I kind of hate sharing it with you since it’s such a great resource. My two big tips for anyone going to Disney though from my own experience:
- Stay at a Disney property. The advantages and bonuses for staying within the “Kingdom” are worth any difference/increase in costs compared to staying at another hotel.
- Get the meal plan. Having a card in your pocket that’s always available for a meal or a snack can’t be beat. We never went hungry and in fact didn’t even end up using everything we had I believe. Another item that’s well worth the price just in reduced hassle and stress of having to think about meals.
You can get tips like that, and better by visiting Disney for Families & More.
