Are you ever overwhelmed with the results displayed in a search engine? I can tell you from my own experience I rarely go past the first page or two of results in a search.
Surf Canyon, currently in beta, is a plug-in for your browser that helps you dig through the results and get even more targeted information based on your own history of search.
I received this quick explanation from Mark Cramer with Surf Canyon that shares the what it’s all about.
Our application is a tiny extension that plugs into your browser and accelerates the search process by helping you find relevant information when it’s buried in the search results on Google, Yahoo! or MSN Live Search. By observing real-time actions (no profiles or histories required), it figures out what you want and then goes deep into the results (up to page 100) and fetches it for you. We think you readers might like it, but we’d love to hear your feedback.
As you can see from my quick example Google search below, Surf Canyon further highlights more pages of interesting information that could be buried in the initial search results you’ve been looking through.
Looking at the results again, you can see that Surf canyon found additional results in pages 2 and 3 of the original search options.
Pretty cool and handy.
Uncover more targeted results for yourself by visiting Surf canyon today and downloading the tiny plug-in for your own browser.
