After returning from New Orleans I’m working through various requests from clients for modifications they’d like to have made on their website. This is something I’ve taken care of for a client of mine (actually my longest paying client) for the past 7 years.
So, I’m grabbing their e-mail and saving and opening the attached PDF which is a semi-regular newsletter type of thing. Before I open the PDF, I surf over to their site real quick to see the stats and determine what other types of updates I should make while I’m working on their site.
Lo and behold, the ENTIRE site has been redesigned. Now, considering I’m considered the “webmaster” and they paid my invoice last month, you’d think I would have heard at least a whisper of a redesign being in the works. Not so.
So, I just sent an e-mail to the Executive Director and my main contact in the corporate office to ask if they’re still in need of my services.
Maybe I’ll hear something tomorrow.

wow. yeah, redesign's don't just happen. they have to be planned out a bit, so they've had to know about this before last month.

Amazing! I'm not sure what I'd do in that situation, but I'm pretty sure that it would irk me for at least a little while. At least you're not their full-time employee and they pulled that on you…
