Why can’t I setup a playlist on TiVo and it just play through a set of selected shows without my intervention? This would come in handy both for just watching, and for burning and archiving back to DVD.
Alex, basically it would allow me to set my own TV viewing experience. Instead of relying on the normal broadcast schedule (which TiVo already allows me to do), I can mash-up my preferred replaying of shows into an order I would like. Granted, it doesn't take much to go through the system and just cue-up each show individually. The functionality exists with audio players, why wouldn't it exist with video content. Maybe if I clicked on "Play Group" or something, it would play episodes of "Everybody Loves Raymond" back-to-back. The usefulness would be even more handy for the archiving feature I mentioned. I can put a DVD in and burn 3 hours of shows at average quality. If I were trying to archive a group of kid's shows for them to watch later, I'd have to start and stop my recorder 6 times to get all the shows in. If I could just set a 3 hour playlist, I hit play and record on my DVD-RW unit and everything works perfect!

I'm not sure that I understand the advantage of what you're describing. How would this make your life any easier?
