Many times in our lives we are either in need of some temporary assistance from our friends and family, or we’re in a position where we can offer assistance to those that are in need instead of ourselves.
I recently came across this website that lets people identify ways they could use assistance. I know my family has experienced the benefits of receiving assistance with meals after the birth of our first child, or even getting our yard mowed when I was travelling a lot with a new job.
The Care Calendar site provides functionality for families, friends, churches and other ministry organizations to easily provide this type of support as needed.
CareCalendar is a donor supported ministry of the Bortel family. Dave developed the concept and wrote all of the custom programs that make the site work. Suzanne and several of our older children help brainstorm new ideas and test new features as they are developed. They also help with customer support and Gift Shop order fulfillment whenever possible.
What a great site that’s available on the Internet for you to either help others or be able to be assisted by yourself.
