Engadet has done it again. I used to have them blog-rolled because they kept my geek meter pegged for interesting gadgets and tools. Well, in their recent post (which I’m not linking to, no love from me now) they highlighted a new tool that allows parents to track their kids.
In the post they refer to my children as “bas**rds”. Yeah, that’s the way to get more people interested in your website. If I remember correctly, the definition of the word means a child born out of wedlock. So potentially in this case they wouldn’t have the benefit of two parents who care enough about their safety to want to protect them from things they don’t need to experience at their age yet.
For anyone that may be curious, no there’s not privacy infringement here. They’re my kids and I’ll track them and protect them as much as possible. Until they’re adults on their own, I’m responsible for them and I’ll do everything in my power to keep them safe.
