“Initiative Launched to Combat Workplace Literacy”
That’s the headline for a recent news article I received in an e-mail. Yep, people in my office and I’m sure others, are just reading WAY too much! What’s with all this literacy in the office? Don’t people know there’s better things to do with your time in the office than improve your reading skills?
What? Oh, you mean literacy is good? Illiteracy is bad? Then why are we at “combat” with the good literacy?
Here’s a tip. Use a dictionary the next time to make sure you use the right word.
