Today I learned a little bit more about CSS styling and setting up themes and skins for ASP.NET pages. If you’ve done CSS styling you know that there are certain things that don’t work in some browsers. Another individual in the class asked if there was a website that identified all of these known bugs and hacks.
After posting the question/need on twitter, Jonic Linley came back and let me know about the Position Is Everything website that does exactly what we needed.
Normally I’d feature a website like this in one of my posts on Uncover the Internet, but given the topic of CSS styling and how to do it right, I thought it would fit more under the topic of Computers in general.
The Position Is Everything website serves as a helpful resource for CSS questions in general. The focus though is on finding and illustrating the browser differences for some specific CSS design issues that you may or may not face in your upcoming design projects.
Each issue that’s shared on the site links to a very detailed and interactive illustration of the change at hand.
If you’ve got a question about CSS styling bugs, I’d start checking out Position Is Everything website first. When I’ve got a CSS question I try to figure it out myself, unless I’m in a hurry or in a bind, if that’s the case then I go to my meCSSiah, srcoley.
