There’s another new search tool hitting the Intertubes. This one is called Spezify and it’s out of Stockholm, Sweden. The search is straight forward, put in your search term or phrase and hit enter. The change is how the information is displayed to you visually.
As you can see from the screen shot above after searching for my online persona, "Bnpositive" the results are hitting from my twitter updates, Tumblr, blog posts, flickr images and a variety of other sources. It’s all presented in a flowing collage of data that you can either use the scroll bars at the bottom and right of the screen, or you can click in the screen and drag the screen around to see more results.
The other nice feature is that along the top of the search there’s a list of related words or terms related to your search. You can quickly expand your search and find a variety of outlets for finding more and more things of interest to you based on your original search.
You can also fine tune your search results by turning off/on various sites and content types within your search. For instance if twitter overwhelms your results, you can turn twitter off in the search to suppress those results from your visual display.
Sometimes you need to see data in a different perspective and Spezify provides a great and visually appealing presentation of search results.
