I missed a bit of a milestone for myself earlier this week. On January 27, 2004 I published my first post on this here blog. It was about the trials and tribulations of parenting. There’s been quite a bit of content expansion and growth that’s come in this pursuit of blogging for me in that time.
In looking back, I thought it would be interesting to try and determine just how many posts I’ve written across all the various blogs I’ve written for at one point or another.
- Bnpositive’s Blog – 934 posts
- Microsoft Weblog for b5media – 898 posts
- Uncover the Internet for b5media – 720 posts
- I Choose Indy – 48 posts
- Mission Notes – 10 posts
- Experience Ministry – 112 posts
- Take Back Perry Schools – 84 posts
- We Support Williams – 206 posts
- Christian Music Fan for b5media – 580 posts
- Office 12 Watch (now Office Tweaks) for b5media – 206 posts
- Emerging Earth (now Tech Side Up) for b5media – 144 posts
- Idol Stalker for b5media – 266 posts
- CSI: Fanatic for b5media – 229 post
- Indianapolis Is My Home for Bloggy Network – 248 posts
Almost 5,000 posts in 5 years since I started doing this thing. There are people who have been writing for longer than that and have written loads more posts than I have in the same amount of time. My co-bloggers Jeanne Dupuis and Lynn DeVries during stints at CSI:Fanatic and Idol Stalker are both posting machines. I’m still amazed at the amount of content the two of them are able to produce for their sites.
The thing that I’ve got to keep in mind though is that I was able to accomplish this “on-the-side”. I’m not a full-time blogger, at least not by day job standards. I’m still working full-time on other project and maintaining my own web design and management company in the evenings. Let’s add my marriage to a great wife and two amazing children and I begin to wonder when I slept (it’s not been much!).
