How To Become A Better, Brighter Business Owner

Big ClockIt's no surprise that many business owners are interested in making their companies industry leaders, optimizing their bottom lines, and undergoing perpetual expansion and growth. As a business owner, you have a lot of responsibilities, including legal ones. If you want to secure your business and avoid legal complications, get in touch with a business lawyer.

However, what is surprising is that many business owners focus on external rather than internal realities when seeking solutions that will help their companies grow in power. If this is the case for you, it's important to note that becoming a better, brighter business owner is oftentimes the secret that takes a company from good to great. With this in mind, consider how making the following personal changes can optimize professional growth and the success of your company:

1. Focus On Holistic Wellness.

Although many people have not considered the idea that there is a connection between health and workplace productivity, there is. And the connection is quite profound. In fact, illness hampers productivity by increasing sick days and hampering work performance. On the other hand, people who maintain great health are able to think more clearly and accomplish work tasks with greater efficacy. Thus if you want to ensure that you're making profoundly powerful contributions to the success of your company, it's important that you focus on holistic wellness. In recent years, holistic wellness has emerged as a term to define the pursuit and maintenance of optimal health in mind, body, and spirit. Focusing on health in any of these three sectors will facilitate positive results in all three, which means that anything from meditation to drinking more green smoothies can have a profoundly powerful effect on your level of wellness and job efficacy.

2. Be Receptive To Change.

Unfortunately, many business owners get stuck in old patterns of thinking and behaving that preclude them from embracing positive changes that can benefit their companies. Don't make this mistake. Instead, adopt an open-minded approach with respect to the methodologies that are employed in the work place setting. When something new and effective emerges, be receptive to replacing your current methodology for the good of your company. These days, one of the more effective ways to manage the documentation of employee hours is an online timeclock. Companies like Allied Time make these clocks available in a simple, easily accessible manner that will expedite the documentation process. This is the type of technological advancement you should embrace in order to ensure that your business functions optimally.

Conclusion

Business owners who want their companies to become profoundly successful should know that self-improvement is a stunningly effective way to make it happen. By focusing on your holistic health and being receptive to change, you will likely find that you work at a greater level of productivity and positivity than ever before!

How to Calculate the Days Between Two Dates

Time and Date website

When I worked in the travel industry, our computer reservations system (CRS) was SABRE and we could quickly perform mathematical computations on dates with the system. For example I need to know what day it would be 100 days prior to 11/14/2009.

I've yet to find a readily available calculator or other system that lets me perform those same functions.

I did discover that I can get something similar to those answers from the www.timeanddate.com website as one of their tools.

As you see from the screen grab above, all you have to do is put in two dates and it will tell you how many days passed between those two dates.

The www.timeanddate.com website has plenty of other great tools. A little more uncovering and I did find the date calculator that gave me exactly what I was looking for earlier. It would still be nice to be able to do these calculations with a calculator, but oh well.

As an alternative, you can also check-out www.thetimenow.com which is formatted better for the sight impaired and is fully WCAG 2.0 compatible.
