It looks like you’ve added a new taxonomy to your website – Ongoing Yoast SEO WordPress Plugin Error

Wondering if anyone else is getting this same error warning I'm getting with annoying regularity from a number of different sites I have the Yoast SEO plugin installed. Seems to happen anytime the plugin gets updated. I haven't been able to narrow down what exactly is happening and why it's happening. Anyone else seeing this issue? What have you found?

Hopefully it goes without saying, I've not made any changes to the taxonomy, so I'm not sure why it's happening or what's triggering it. Plugin issue? Theme issue? Database issue? Site issue?

I've been using Yoast SEO for decades now. I've started exploring a bit with the Rank Math SEO plugin as a different option from Yoast. What do you all use on your site(s)?

Tell Twitter to Stop Updating Facebook

I’m a fairly active person on twitter and Facebook. The challenge though is that I have a very different group of friends on the two applications.

I did have it setup to allow twitter to update my Facebook status whenever I updated twitter itself. I thought it was really handy, you know killing two birds with one stone.

The challenge was that there were a number of my friends who had no clue what twitter was and I think were overwhelmed with the amount of status updates they were seeing of mine come across the system. So? I decided to let one of the aforementioned birds live and only kill one of them at a time.

The second challenge that arose from that decision is trying to figure out how to get twitter to stop updating Facebook.

Here’s How to Tell Twitter to Stop Updating Facebook

  1. Select twitter in your Facebook applications
  2. Click on the "Settings" link in Facebook and you’ll see an option for "Twitter Settings". Select it.
  3. The Edit Twitter Settings panel displays and gives you all the options you can set for the relationship between twitter and Facebook.

I just selected the option to "Never publish any stories from Twitter" and left the application installed just in case I change my mind later.
